The Austin Police Department (APD) has identified the victim who was shot and killed over the weekend. 24-year-old Alan Picazzo. According to law enforcement agencies, Picazzo died in the incident that occurred on Saturday morning at The Quincy apartments located on Red River Street within the Rainey Street District. Authorities were dispatched to the complex at approximately 6:30 a.m. in response to reports of many gunshots. Upon their arrival, they discovered Picazzo with evident gunshot injuries. According to the APD, he was transported to the hospital and succumbed to his injuries.
During the inquiry, the Albuquerque Police Department (APD) discovered that Picazzo was engaged in an altercation with another individual, which then developed into a shooting incident. Currently, APD has successfully identified a suspect in the incident.

APD officers and Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services (A/TCEMS) arrived on the scene and located a male subject, later identified as Alan Picazzo, with apparent gunshot wounds. A/TCEMS transported Picazzo to a local hospital, where he later died as a result of his injuries.
Homicide detectives and Crime Scene Specialists responded to process the scene and interview witnesses. The investigation revealed that Alan Picazzo had been in a disturbance with another individual before it escalated into the shooting.
